Tibetan New Year in 1970

This was at a time when an enthusiastic group was forming around Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche. Before they moved to Kopan, the lamas were living at Samten Ling Monastery in Bouddha, Nepal, while their Western entourage lived at Double Dorje House, near Bouddha.
