His Holiness the Dalai Lama is at Sera for several days of teaching. He is teaching a very great text called Dose of Emptiness by one of Lama Tzong Khapa’s disciples. And Lama Zopa Rinpoche is here, too.

Kunkyen cracked a bone in his leg playing with a sickle.  It pierced his flesh and he had to wear a plaster cast on his leg for some time.

We painted the house, inside and outside, and we are going to paint the wall in a few days.

Things are well decorated for the visit of His Holiness and Lama Zopa Rinpoche.

We bought a battery back-up system for the whole house and now have no problem with electricity – which goes off periodically in our part of India.

Tsering is growing new horns and is a bit fatter than before. He seems to becoming more calm as he ages.

Om Mani, Lama’s favorite dog, was hit by a falling branch and is paralyzed in her back legs. She looks so sad and doesn’t move about.
