Lama Ösel’s News
Om Mani dies
My dog, Om Mani, died last month. A tree fell on her back and paralyzed her legs. We hoped she would get better but she died after another three weeks. When I was young I would play with her in all my spare time. She was my best friend. I thought it was impossible that she would die. I thought she would never die.
Lama visits Spain
I visited my mother, brothers and sisters in Spain. We went to the beach at Malagar. The water was so cold that I did not try to bathe or swim. My feet got frozen, just like in snow, even though the weather was hot. I stayed at my mother’s house for a few days.
Lama’s new tutor
My new Western tutor is Jampa Ludrup. He has taken over from George who has taught me very well for the last two years. I am very grateful to him. Jampa is an Australian monk who is a qualified school teacher and has taught people how to use computers for many years.
Lama to visit Singapore
I am going to Singapore for the Vesak celebrations. I will stay for four or five days and I’m looking forward very much to seeing more of Singapore.
