Lama Ösel’s News
The Very Long Journey
Early in February we went form Sera to Bangalore in a taxi, and then from Bangalore to Delhi by train. I enjoyed it very much in the train and slept very well. I stayed a few days in Delhi and then went to the Taj Mahal — I enjoyed it pretty much. Then we flew to Kopan. I had a very nice time in Kopan. I also had my birthday in Kopan — February 12. We had a lunch with all the geshes and lamas of Kopan and then after that we had a tea party with all the monks of Kopan. Then after that came Losar, Tibetan New Year, and I also had a very nice time then too.
Then on February 26, I flew from Kathmandu to Delhi and stayed in Delhi for three days, to wait for Kunkyen, my brother, and then we went in a train to Patankot. From Patankot we went by the Tushita Jeep to Tushita, Dharamsala. This is where I am now. And then I received from His Holiness the Dalai Lama teachings on The Jewel Ornament of Liberation. I enjoyed it very much. And now these teachings have finished and today is a holiday, so tomorrow and the next day an initiation will be given, then teachings on Lama Chöpa.
Comings and Goings
Kunkyen has come back from Singapore and knows a little bit of Mandarin. But nobody else has come or gone!
Good News & Bad News
Good News: We are building a new floor on top of the house at Sera. We have already destroyed the stairs and have put them somewhere else.
Bad News: I am now 14, so I cannot play as much and I have to study more, without as many breaks as before.
