Q. Do I have to have special programs on my computer in order to read the eZine?

To read the eZine you will need the following:

PC – Windows 98 or above
Mac OS X version 10 or above
Flash version 8 or above (you can install the latest version of Flash here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/)
512MB of RAM
56K or faster Internet connection
Any major browser

Q. How do I read the eZine? The print seems small and I’m having problems with the Zoom.

A. Here’s a quick start guide of common features. The easiest way to read the eZine is in “Full Screen View” (that’s the small box icon on the very right hand side of your screen). Once you’re in Zoom, open up your eZine and start mousing around. Make sure to hold your mouse down to drag. Once you click back and forth, you’ll likely feel comfortable right away.

Q. The eZine is taking several minutes to load. Is that normal?

A. No. The eZine should load within seconds. Please send us an email at friends@fpmt.org or (866) 808-3302 (toll free, US only) and we’ll work to resolve the problem.

Q. How can I subscribe the eZine? Is it still offered through Friends of FPMT?

A. In December 2011 we discontinued publishing the Mandala eZine as a benefit of Friends of FPMT. When we launched the eZine in December 2008, it delivered audio and video content that would otherwise be impossible to share in the print magazine. However, since then we have made tremendous advances in our use of online technology, both on the Mandala website and also on FPMT’s Online Learning Center. As a result, we feel that the eZine format no longer affords Friends of FPMT the best experience we have to offer in terms of audio and video features. With that in mind, this will be our final Mandala eZine. Archived issues of the eZine will continue to be available on the Mandala website for you to enjoy anytime.

Q. Can I read the eZine offline?

A. Yes. You can download the eZine edition (it is a Flash File) – it’s a big file and will take a while to download. The download option is available in the Menu feature of your eZine. You can also download the eZine as a PDF (this version is faster to download but has less features). However, the easiest way to read the eZine is online.
